From A Man Who Loves His Goddess (Mother) To Men Who Hate Her!

I have come to understand that the Goddess' Womanhood, and Woman's Goddesshood, are one and the same. It is the same for myself, My Manhood is intricately tied to my Godhood. I have also come to understand that SHE is my mother, my Cosmic Mother, SHE has the ability to give birth to me. Some will say that SHE cannot do this without Man, and I wonder as for me the jury is still out on that one!!! So here we are my brothers trying to process our place in this world with regard to HER. Well beloved… Continue

Yo' Momma.....is a Goddess!

I have recently made acquaintance with a young revolutionary, a young Goddess whom I will be doing revolutionary work with here in Charlotte, NC. She recently described to me a discussion she had with a Muslim gentleman. In the conversation the brother turned towards a bitter note. Our young Goddess was remarking on her new role in the New Black Panther Party, of course conversations like this lead to history and such. The Muslim fellow stated to her that, "The Black Woman was not as oppressed a… Continue

The Goddess: an Overview (I thought this was a great post I found in my research)

This is not my work however I thought this was a great post I found in my research here is the link to the original research. We will discuss not just the history of the divine HER but how we as Afrikan men must revere her as well! History There is overwhelming evidence throughout the ancient world that "the Goddess" was the principle deity of the Paleolithic and Neolithic periods (about 75,000-4,000 B.C.E.)… Continue

The GOD/DESS Concept

In the Term GOD/DESS there is an intentional break as to represent the complementary nature of God and Goddess. For many the Goddess concept will be difficult to grasp, this is the result of our being for so long indoctrinated/taught the idea that the creator is only male. Now surely we can hear in the church, mosque and temple on any given Sunday that we must respect our women. This idea is wonderful; unfortunately it has not been enough to simply say it. Part of this or rather a major part of… Continue

What of the African Woman?

"It is better to die for an idea that will live than to live for an idea that will die" Steve Biko The Afrikan in the Diaspora and on the continent has been placed in a horrendous position. She is forced into definitions applied by other folks, namely oppressors. In this condition it is very difficult for the family unit to operate as a unit. This operation as a unified whole is neccesary for our very survival. Those definitions are contrary to our original thought patterns, our original cult… Continue
