I was in a shrine house that was presided over by Iya Osunyomi Aba Nson Afolabi-Sarpong. We learned about Osun, deity of social justice, community, marriage, fertility, beauty, secrets & passion, through direct contact with that force.
We held Osun festivals which brought many women--old & very young--on the floor to praise their womanhood.
I've since learned about Nut, Mut, Bast, Ba'at, Het Heru, Sekhmet, Nebt Het and the Lady of 1000 Names, Ast.
